take every thought captive

Take every thought captive to the obedience to Christ to deny Satan the foothold to place lies into your heart & mind.

Some words or situations (bad day at work, loss of confidence, untruthful comments, students say they are not learning anything, etc) trigger thoughts that take us down the road to forget the truth about how God sees us.

When we are lonely, we may begin to believe lies about who we think we are in this world. Not pretty enough, not thin enough, not good enough at our job, not good enough in our relationships, etc.

When one says it long enough, one may begin to believe the lies as truth. Keeping God’s truth close to our heart and mind will keep The Deceiver from taking hold of us and destroy us from the inside out.

Recognizing who He is and who we are in Him – we can live accepted, secure and significant.
The temptations Jesus experienced in the wilderness are the same temptations we face each day – the flesh, power and world.
